Kyiv, Ukraine @ GoKiev.info

Kiev / Kyiv..... one of the greatest cities in Europe. Honore de Balzac, the famous French novelist, wrote: "Petersburg is a young city, Moscow is an ancient city, but Kyiv is the eternal city. It is a Northern Rome."

Welcome to GoKiev.info - Transportation in Kiev (Kyiv) and Ukraine. Ferries

Kyiv (Kiev) is situated on the Dnipro (d-knee-pro) River, Ukraine's most important internal waterway, and has got several river ports: freight and passenger ones; headquarters of Joint-Stock Company "Ukrrichflot". Location of the city on Europes third largest river which originates in Central Russia and empties into the Black Sea, permits the development of river transport. Kyiv has one of the largest in Eastern Europe - mechanized river ports supplied with portal cranes, modern loaders and other equipment. The main activity of the Kyiv River Port is the extraction and realisation of sand-macadam production. The location of the port in the central part of the city makes it very convenient for cargo delivery.
