If your system doesn't support MP3 files directly, test with an audio converter that will convert MP3 into WAVE or AIFF file and import that (Some software packages will let you import MP3, but do not support it and will produce undesired effects. Refer to your owners manual for your software package for support of Audio File Types).

WARNING: Do not use REAL PLAYER for MP3s

When Real Player (RP) is set as your default MP3 player, upon download of any MP3 file, RP changes the embedded file type on Macintosh systems to PNRA instead of MPG3, and the .mp3 extension on Windows systems is changed to .mpga. With incorrect file identifiers, no other program on your system (other than RP) will recognize your file as being an MP3 file, although it is. This "Abominate Upon Download Feature" can not be turned off.
If this was the problem, the only thing you can do is to download the files again once you have disabled Real Player.

Disable real Player for MP3:

* Quit your browser
* Open the preferences (settings) of Real Player
* Select the "upgrade tab"
* Click on "re-associate"
* Uncheck "mpeg audio" and "MP3 playlist"
* Click OK
* Install one of the recommended players
* Re-launch your browser
